This years conference of the Institute of Broadcasting Economics at the University of Cologne dealt with
the Financing of Public Service Broadcasting.

It took place on the 13th November 2009 in the rooms of the University of Cologne.

The first part of the conference was about the Financing of Public Service Broadcasting related to european media policy. In this context the Public Service Broadcaster and their self-commitments regarding the settlement of the dispute of subsidy played an important role. 

The second part of the conference dealt with the licence fee in a national context, focussing  the consequences of the verdict of fee of the Federal Constitutional Court.
